SysMO SEEK

The SEEK allows SysMO consortium members to search across SysMO data. The SEEK shows what SysMO assets are available and where they stored, but it does not hold data itself. It is a catalogue rather than a repository.

Searching and Linking

The SEEK interface is being designed to address the answers to the 20 Questions exercise undertaken with the PALS.

Assets can be associated with one another so that researchers can navigate by pivoting around the site. For example, data sheets are associated with the SOPs and protocols used to produce them, they are also associated with the experiments they are part of, and other data sheets from the same experiment.

SEEK Assets

Through SEEK you can find

  • People, their expertise, publications, contact details
  • Data
  • Results
  • Models
  • SOPs and protocols
  • Workflows

Sharing

All assets in SEEK have fine-grained access control. Assets can be shared with:

  • The public
  • All of SysMO
  • All people in one project
  • All people in one group
  • Named individuals

The SysMO-HUB promotes sharing and exchange, but it is important that confidential data remains so until scientists are ready to publish. The SysMO projects often span multiple sites, however, so sharing within projects and groups is required at a much earlier stage.
