SysMO Models
The development and validation of models is an integral part of SysMO. Models need to be linked to testing and validation data and models need to be shared between and within projects.
Sharing Models
Models are SysMO assets in the same way as data files, protocols and SOPs. Therefore, models will also be shared and discovered through the SysMO SEEK, enabling access control, attribution and tagging as well as a single web location for all SysMO assets.
Model Formats
The recommended format for SysMO models is SBML. We would also encourage annotation with SBO (the Systems Biology Ontology) and MIRIAM (Minimum Information Required in the Annotation of biochemical Models
Some groups may develop non-SBML models. These can also be uploaded or linked to through the SysMO HUB. We encourage standardisation, but we do not make it mandatory
Running Models
JWS Online can be used to run model simulations through the SysMO-HUB for models uploaded in SBML format. This enables researchers to run models with new experimental data as well as verifying and comparing models already available
