I'm a bioinformatician from Berlin (Germany). Before I stared my PhD in the SysMo project Translucent I developed semanticSBML, a software for building, checking, merging and displaying SBML files.

TRANSLUCENT aims to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the mechanisms that ensure proper cation uptake and metabolism in the model yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae.

I studied bioinformatics at the Freie-Universität-Berlin (Free-University Berlin or short FU-Berlin :). I like to programm and so I speak fluent Python,Perl,PHP,Java,C++ and some bash,Ruby,C# and Haskell. For my Bachelor thesis I developed SOAP webservices so I am familiar with SOAP, work-flow orchestration, XML and when not to use it. In my current project I am a web developer, but my main task is to model signaling pathways related to kation hoemostasis in yeast. I like open source and collaborations.

PHP function for converting Excel XML into an assiciative array

If you have a table structure like

the function will return

array("A" => array(3,4) ...)

Since I used simple xml in the function it will be very easy to translate it into other languages

We build a custom group management and datastorage solution based on PHProject

This solution is generic. Do not waste time in creating something new, collaborate with me and we will have an even better solution.

The phproject software provides the features:

• Wiki

In addition to that we can create custom tables with insert from and view using a sql database and an xml file.

For the custuom tables we added the features:

• redundant versioning
• templating
• access management
